Low budget Scripts

Low budget scripts take place in only a few locations.  One location is best.  They also have very few actors or extras.  Two actors is best.  Six actors is ok.  More than 6 and your making things to complicated.  Focus on directing not productions.  Try to tell a story that requires no props or clothes that you do not own. Low budget movies are 90 minutes long.  The longer the story the more work and the more expensive.  Keep you movie to 90 pages and 40 scenes. You need to come up with something high concept.  This is particularly important because your not going to have anyone involved in your project with a name.  You need a great title and and interesting concept.  You want the logline on the movie poster to get peoples attention. your goal is to get people to watch your movie so you can build on your first project to a bigger project.  Maybe this small low budget film can get your financing for your next project.  The goal is to keep working on bigger projects as your learn.  Keep in mind your goal is to finish this project and learn something in the process.

What is recommended on writing a script is to come up with one idea each day.  You might spend the rest of the day thinking about that idea and putting the puzzle together but get one idea a day.  Any movie is just a serious of ideas.  So 30 minutes might be all you need.
